Meetings with management can set the stage for system changes that may include further staff training such as:
Development of peer-led and peer-supported debriefing sessions after a particularly stressful interaction
Instituting more stringent controlled substance protocols
Organizational consulting may be requested after a staff presentation, especially if that presentation uncovers system issues that unwittingly promote burnout, feed into compassion fatigue, or fail to provide sufficient roadblocks to diversion of controlled substances.
